The National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) filed a several complaints versus Senator Leila De Lima and also 17 others with their alleged involvement on the proliferation of illegal drugs at the New Bilibid Prison.

" Instead of meeting this mandate, Senator De Lima successfully caused, supported as well as
even advertised the proliferation of unlawful drugs by conspiring with prisoner gang leaders, for the objective of advancing her political passions," according to the complaint read.

De Lima with others will certainly deal with charges including drug trafficking, qualified bribery, as well as graft.

These are the names included: former Bureau of Corrections chief Franklin Jesus Bucayu, former Justice Undersecretary Francisco Baraan III, former Bucor officer­in­charge Rafael Ragos, De Lima's former security aide and Presidential Security Group Member Joenel Sanchez, De Lima's former driver and bodyguard Ronnie Dayan, Ragos'close­in aide and NBI agent Jovencio Ablen Jr., Bucayu's alleged bagman Wilfredo Elli, DOJ employee Jesusa Francisco, De Lima's personal assistant during her DOJ stint Lyn Sagum, a certain Julius Rejuso, an alias George.

While the convicted high profile inmates Jaybee Sebastian, Herbert Colanggo, Engelbert Durano, Vicente Sy, Wu Tuan Yuan alias Peter Co, Jojo Baligad were included charged despite of their immunity because of their involvement in illegal drug trade.

Klarong sinabi ni Secretary de Lima in one of the meetings in the kubol of Jaybee Sebastian that henceforth, the illegal drug trade in the Bilibid should be centralized or coursed through Jaybee Sebastian, Lavin stated. 

NBI Spokesperson Ferdinand Lavin said that the evidences are strong against the accused.
